Departing from Ponta Delgada at 08h30, we will drive for 1H15 towards Faial da Terra which is a civil parish in the municipality of Povoação.

Our hike will be around 6 km, it will have medium duration of 3h30 hours including picnic time and it will begin by walking up a steep trail until you rich a small abandoned and isolated community called Sanguinho.

After passing this abandoned place, we will continue our hike; we will walk across dense vegetation having the feeling of walking through a rain forest!

At the end of the trail, you will see a beautiful waterfall, place and time that we will have time to eat something and observe the beautiful waterfall.

On the way back, we will partly take a different trail which goes along side of Ribeira of Faial da Terra.

We will be back in Ponta Delgada around 16h30.

This hike includes; Tour guide and transportation.

It’s required a minimum of 4 adults attendees to begin this hike. If you a party of less than 4 attendees, please contact us.

We consider this hike as medium difficulty.

Amazing Tours will pick up the clients at any accommodations located within the city of Ponta Delgada at 08h30.

Those staying outside Ponta Delgada will have to pay an additional charge.
